How long does it take to learn to make your own clothes?
When it comes to sewing basic clothes, such as skirts and knit tops, the method you use will determine how successful your project will be. In my opinion, it will take between 6 and 9 months to achieve consistent decent results if done by hand using only patterns, their instructions, and a few of books. The internet is a wonderful thing to have access to.
